 It’s peculiar that wherever people are gathered, for common purpose or not, we tend to gauge our value based on the flawed estimations and opinions of others. We cripple ourselves by not turning our focus to the honest pursuit of improving our abilities and quality of life. The dog-eat-dog mentality of reality television shows graphically illustrates people viciously slandering the character of anyone in their way. They seem oblivious to the damage done to their own dignity. The prize is’nt worth the cost. Even more tragic is when someone is so intimidated by the talents of others that they descend into a gutter of self-doubting despair. They fail to even try to build on their unique qualities
